Roundtables

Roundtables are the warmup act for the featured speaker.

On February 21, 2006, I did my first one entitled:
"Lean/Agile/Scrum/XP Software Development -- Myth and Truth"

I was delighted to see almost 50 people gathered around our table for 8, beating the former maximum by about 4 times.  I explain this as the draw of Tom DeMarco as the featured speaker, my provocative title and the way a crowd is self-reinforcing.  Thanks to all who participated.  We are discussing follow-on events at Boston SPIN.

On May 16, 2006, my 2nd Roundtable was: "Scrum - A simplification of Agile - Truth Yielding Trust"

We again had an outstanding showing with about 30 participants.  This continued my previous theme and emphasised the ethical basis of Agile/Scrum.  Trust is earned by a commitment to truth and honesty about how much and little we know.  This permits the maximum contiunous learning and collaboration between team members.  No hidden agenda allowed.  All this yields a high preforming team.
